I forgive him but I won’t forget what he did! Is another form of unforgiveness which means you have intentionally conditioned your thoughts, response and actions about the offender to live in your consciousness, taking up residence in your soul.
Unforgiveness is a mindset where you are harboring negative thoughts of anger, hurt, pain and victimization, that festers from your mind to your heart. Forming an environment of unbalanced energy that will eventually spread and invade every cell in your body, creating a toxicity that can influence your communication, actions and joy, if left unchecked your health overall. “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my sake and remembers your sins no more” (Isaiah 43v25).
I’m not saying invite them to dinner just don’t allow the effects of what they did to linger into your inner being, that space is sacred and need only be occupied by what you cherish most, a place of strength, peace and comfort where you go to for those intimate moments.
I’m not saying it’s easy, it is however humbling and elevating when you take back your power letting nothing and no one hold your quality of life, hostage. Myself included on occasion thought that I had forgave a person until the name or incident came up and I find myself getting upset all over again, then I say Lord, I thought you had healed me, and I pray against those feelings because I’ am not letting anyone not even myself hinder my blessings. “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins your Heavenly Father will not forgive your sins” (Matthew 6-14,15).
Release from Bondage
Father God in Heaven help me to forgive those who have hurt and offended me, deliver me from my unforgiveness, my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak (Matthew 26v41). Heal me from any symptoms of pain, anger, hate and disappointment, I believe, confess and decree my deliverance. I’ am ready to move forward into my destiny, lighthearted and free from every hindrance coming against my blessings in the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray.
